Every time I have good hair days with twistouts or wash n gos (defined curls) I always tell myself that I'm gonna start wearing my hair like that more often...of course that usually doesn't last long. But in the last few months I have to say have been rockin' some successful twist n curls and wash n gos (defined curls) and I've wondered if I could really keep my hair healthy and in those styles. I have found that those styles are kinda like my protective style because I'll wear them for like a week. In addition there's less manipulation involved,it's versatile because I can always pull it back into a ponytail or something, and it's good for my edges because I don't have to brush them a lot.
So what do you all think??? Will it work...I'm going to see and keep you all updated.

i must say i like the first pic more, but does your hair have movement with both methods? if it does i would go with the "crunchy" style
OMG I'm right there with you. I want to wear more twists-out and braid outs but I'm scared I won't retain and see more growth with that. If you find an answer, let me know.
As long as you moisturize and you don't see any broken off pieces it should be fine to wear your hair like that. I like the EZ combs style. It rocks!!!
Hey sis, what did you use to pull pack your hair in the "Old Wash n Go" pic? My hair is pretty much that length and texture and when try and pull it back in that way with a hair tie, it never comes out quite right. It looks like maybe a comb and come bobbies?
Great blog by the way! :)
that was an ez comb. i have a video on it and styles you can do with it =)
